What is cyber security?

Cybersecurity can be referred to as protection of the computer systems and networks from unauthorized access, or other forms of malicious cyberattacks, which may also include hacking, malware, and phishing. Since the day of information security and confidentiality has come due to its very high digitization requirement, cybersecurity has also become much more important. Gone are the days when cybersecurity was just meant for protecting small enterprise networks. It is now used in protecting personal devices from cyberattack or data breach.

Business loss, financial loss, reputation issues, and legal loss are areas through which business loss can be measured. The risk, particularly, faces identity theft loss of privacy fraud risk to the individual's side. Similar to cyber threat evolution methods, cybersecurity measures too need to be balanced accordingly. For example, one can have the latest technology, such as encryption, firewalls, and multi-factor authentication, so multiple layers of defenses are available at the time of danger.

Cybersecurity protects not only personal information but also establishes an element of trust in digital systems.
